ABOUT
my reason
My whole world is right here in these squares. The way I look at these photos is the way I want you to look at yours. Like I’ve bottled up your entire life and wrapped it up in a bow.
A few years ago when I was visiting my grandma in Ely, Nevada I talked my mom, Aunt Lori, Uncle Rod, and Grandma Loper into agreeing to do pics later in the week together. The time for the photo shoot came and as we were approaching our last day in town together I received a collective push back to doing it.
Understandably so, everyone had so much to do before leaving back home to their own lives in other towns. I didn’t take no for an answer and I refused to accept their excuses. We ran down to the small, quaint railroad depot less than a mile from my grandmas home. We spend no more than 20 minutes getting a few shots of each of them as well as them together.
Less than a week later, my uncle Rod tragically lost his life in a car accident.
That photo shoot meant everything to us. It’s some of the very very very few photos they have together and one of the only recent photos of him by himself. It might not be the reason why I picked up a camera but it’s one of the reasons I make it my personal mission to capture you and your loved ones.
WORD ON THE STREET
“Not only is Brooke an amazing photographer but she is such a genuinely good person! She went above and beyond to make a dream photo shoot come true for our family! She took our family photos in Central Park, and captured everything I wanted...New York's beauty, my awesome little family, and our pure happiness. Thank you Brooke for helping us create memories that will now last a lifetime!.”
